Southwest Virginia is home to Dr. Neysa Allen. Dr. Allen grew up in Franklin County and graduated from Mary Baldwin College in Staunton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. After receiving her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry, she wanted to return to the Southwest Virginia to provide its residents with friendly, progressive eye care. Dr. Allen has practiced primary care optometry in the Roanoke Valley for over twenty years and actively participates in the post-operative care of her cataract and LASIK patients. Having served as Clinical Director at TLC Roanoke, Dr. Allen is a certified LASIK consultant and continues her interest in refractive surgery. She is dedicated to providing her patients with exemplary care and is delighted to be a part of the Kartesz team. Presently, Dr. Allen is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Virginia Optometric Association, and her local optometric society. She attends Sandy Ridge Baptist Church in Rocky Mount and enjoys working-out, traveling with her husband Lewis, and being in the kitchen.
